Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
The FIRST Robotics Team 3976 was formed on January 7 in the year 2012 at Lower Richland High school in Hopkins, South Carolina. In our third year, we have 27 active participants in our program that collaborated to overcome financial hardships in order to participant in FIRST events.
In the next 3 years, our team plans to double our sponsor numbers by sending out sponsor letters before build season and offering more incentives. Also, we plan on increasing parent and volunteer involvement to secure our Teams future success. We will mentor local elementary and middles schools in the area to expand the interest in FIRST Robotics before the High school level producing more STEM oriented students.
